Custom MIME Types

MIME (Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions) are used to tell a web browser what type of content is being presented. By allowing you to set custom MIME types, you are given complete control over how web browsers interact with your web site. This can mean the difference between having RealPlayer pop up in a separate window, or having it embedded on your web page, streaming audio and/or video.
